The Relationship that I Offer
The psychotherapy I offer resonates with individuals or couples who are willing to explore life patterns and how these may lead to relationship challenges or emotional distress. My primary objective is to offer a space that cultivates enriched relationships and aligns people's lives with their authentic values. I seek to address problems that include depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, faith/religious concerns, and identity exploration. I prioritize honoring each individual's distinct life experiences while using my experience to disentangle the past and offer new opportunities for growth and healing.
Collaboratively, I work with people to forge a relationship that results in self-awareness and opportunities for change. I am willing to be patient, allowing people to tell their stories and to be fully known. My goal is to empower people to explore and find real solutions for the complex problems in life.
As a therapist for 23 years and a college professor/administrator for 15 years, I have been privileged to teach and train future counselors. This has given me the opportunity to understand the complexities of human relationships and how to effectively offer meaningful change. I hope to offer this helpful experience to those who are interested.
